A little close to Buddhism there, but then I've go so many friends working in Korea.

I'm studying Taoism though I'm not sure I understand it fully...the ying and yang of life and all.
Leonard Cohen used to swear by the I-Ching.
Lots of Taoism in there.
And J.D Salinger is full of it, especially in "Hapworth 1924", a long short story about Seymour Glass et al.
...Come to think of it also "Raise High the Roofbeams, Carpenters."

Hm. Seems to be a lot of overlap here.
One thing for sure, once I decided to put all my eggs in one basket to be a novelist, I starved for a year but became ridiculously rich the following year.
